Early Childhood Health Diagnosis & Intervention
The improvement in the delivery of acute health care services in low and middle income countries, in part due to the implementation of Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI) approach, has resulted in a significant reduction in mortality in children under 5 years of age. However, concomitant with this is an increase in the number of children with developmental delays and learning disabilities, that often go undiagnosed.
Early diagnosis of developmental delays and disabilities in children under 5 years and their appropriate immediate intervention is critical to the future educational and life success of these children.
The Youth HELP Foundation is committed to supporting programs and providing resources for the early detection and intervention of childhood developmental delays and learning disabilities.

Education Opens Doors to Endless Opportunities
There is a strong correlation between access to higher educational opportunities and the empowerment and future success of individuals. Children born into the top fifth of the income distribution have about twice as much of a chance of becoming members of the middle class in their communities or better in their adult years as those born into the bottom fifth. Unrecognized and unaddressed childhood developmental challenges, the issues of inequity together with the lack of diversity and inclusion significantly impact children’s access to educational opportunities and the realization of their fullest potential.
The Youth HELP Foundation provides vulnerable children and young people with equitable access to educational programs and resources, in a diverse and inclusive manner to help them achieve their highest potential.
Empowering Young Minds Through Creativity, STEM, and Health Literacy
There is a strong connection between early engagement in creative and visual arts and STEM education and the lifelong empowerment, health, and success of individuals. Children who have consistent access to these enriching experiences are more likely to develop stronger cognitive skills, innovative thinking, and problem-solving abilities—qualities that open doors to higher achievement, career opportunities, and personal fulfillment. Early exposure also fosters health literacy, enabling children to make informed choices that improve their well-being, productivity, and quality of life.
However, inequities in access, coupled with unrecognized developmental challenges and the absence of diversity and inclusion, significantly limit many children’s ability to benefit from these transformative learning opportunities.
The Youth HELP Foundation is committed to bridging this gap by providing vulnerable children and youth with equitable access to creative arts, STEM programs, and health education in a diverse and inclusive environment. By cultivating both creativity and scientific literacy, we equip young people to realize their fullest potential—empowered to succeed in life, contribute meaningfully to society, and lead healthier, more productive lives.
